August News

8/26/01: Naysayers and Yesmen mixed & mastered!

After some unfortunate delays, we finally had the album mixed in mid-August. Just today, we handed the final mix to Jason Livermore at the
Blasting Room in Fort Collins, and he finished the mastering for the album in 3 short hours. Needless to say, it sounds amazing! This is the final step in the recording process and now we are about halfway through the layout. Look for Naysayers and Yesmen in Fall of this year.

8/5/01: Soulless Lemming Musical Disaster Volume 1 Compilation

The
Musical Disaster Volume 1 compilation was released yesterday, and features two Reno Divorce tracks: "San Andreas Fault" and "Life in the Trailer Park." These tracks will NOT be on Naysayers and Yesmen. Pick up your copy at our next show for CHEAP! Don't forget to pick up one of our slick new T-Shirts while you're there. $10 for the Guys shirts and $12 for the Girlie tees.

7/26/01: Reno Divorce T-Shirts

We have ordered our first batch of t-shirts from our friends at Torpedo T-Shirts in Seattle. They will be available in Men's Large and X Large and Girlie Spaghetti Strap Medium one size fits most. The shirts will be black and feature a new Reno Divorce logo in silver and a red stripe. They will be available at our August 4th show in Acacia Park.

We have also struck up a deal with the folks at
Sidewalksurf.com. Look for them to be selling Reno Divorce merchandise in the near future.

7/11/01: Reno Divorce in Studio Days 6 & 7

Brent finished his vocals on Monday night of this week. We also added a few things here and there before mixing the album last night. Thanks to Matt at 8 Houses Down for the great sounds. Next step is Mastering and Layout, then it's off to the duplication house. Look for
Naysayers and Yesmen in August/September of 2001.

7/3/01: Soulless Lemming Comp

Reno Divorce will be appearing on a compilation CD to be released on Soulless Lemming Records this August. Other bands to appear on the CD include the A-Holes, the Ghetto Cherubs, Nothing Sacred, St. James Gate, Addiction Face, TAB, Secret Sauce, and Minimum Wage (formerly All American Reject). As soon as it is released, we will have copies for sale at shows.

7/1/01: Reno Divorce in the Studio (Again)

Reno Divorce were in the Soulless Lemming Compound Friday night (and well into Saturday morning) recording "Life in the Trailer Park" and "San Andreas Fault" for the Soulless Lemming Records compilation.

June News

6/28/01: If you haven't already checked it out, click on MP3s on the main page of our site. This will take you to our brand new
MP3.com site where you can listen to rough mixes of "Hits You Hard" and "For Those Who Should Have Known" (formerly "New Song In A"), both of which will appear on our upcoming Nay Sayers and Yes Men album, which will be released in August.

6/24/01: We would like to sincerely apologize to anyone who may have come to the Lion's Lair in Denver on the 23rd to see us. The show was cancelled at the last minute by the Lion's Lair.

6/19/01: Reno Divorce in Studio, Day 5: Yesterday, in a whirlwind 3 hours, Brent finished his vocal tracks to all but two songs. We will soon be setting a date for the mixdown and to record some odds and ends to wrap up the album.

6/14/01: Reno Divorce Online is launched: Earlier this week, we were informed by KNAC.com that they would no longer be hosting member web pages. After a brief panic and much swearing, we secured our new URL and server and got to work. This site should be completely up and running by Monday, June 18th.

6/13/01: Reno Divorce to open for Wesley Willis June 23rd: It's true! Although we may not be on the listing at the 15th Street's web site, we have been offered and confirmed as the opening band on a bill including Wesley Willis and the Swanks.

6/06/01: Reno Divorce in Studio, Day 4: Brent finished his lead guitar tracks yesterday, and put a few vocal tracks to tape as well. However, he has a case of Strep Throat and will have to finish the vocals at a later date.

6/05/01: Reno Divorce in Studio, Day 3: Seth finished his bass tracks yesterday and Brent and Tony both finished their rhythm tracks as well. Today Brent will put down his lead guitar tracks and lay down a few vocals.

6/04/01: Reno Divorce in Studio, Day 2: Yesterday, Seth finished most of his bass tracks and Brent began laying down his rhythm guitar tracks. As I write this, Seth, Tony, and Brent are in the studio working on their tracks.

6/03/01: Reno Divorce in Studio, Day 1: Yesterday, after some delays, Andrew finished his drum tracks, with several being first takes. Today we will lay down Seth's bass and start on Brent's rhythm guitars.
